“Namma Ooruu” is a celebration of Tamil Nadu’s rich culinary heritage. Growing up in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, we were always surrounded by the aromas of delicious food. As we embarked on our journey to the United States for our education, we found ourselves missing the authentic flavors of Indian sweets and savories. Despite the availability of Indian food in the US, we noticed a distinct lack of authenticity in the flavors. It became our mission to provide an authentic taste of home to people all over the world through our e-commerce website. The name “Namma Ooruu” means “our village” in Tamil, and our goal is to share the authentic flavors of Tamil Nadu’s sweets and savories with the world. We source directly from local businesses across Tamil Nadu, ensuring that each product we offer is made with the same care and authenticity that we grew up with.
